MINDEN, La. – Fibrebond Corporation is sponsoring the Webster Parish School Board's third annual Back-to-School Bash on Aug. 8 at the Minden Civic Center. Leading up to the event, Fibrebond employees donated school supplies for the "Pack the Bus" Campaign, held July 29.

The Webster Parish School Board's objective is to ensure that every student starts the school year equipped with necessary essentials so they can focus on their education. The "Pack the Bus" campaign is a community-wide effort to provide Webster Parish elementary, middle and high school students who are in need with school supplies. School supplies will be distributed to students and parents at the Back-to-School Bash.

With the help of Fibrebond and other local organizations, the Webster Parish School Board received nearly $8,000 in sponsorships and donations. More than 1,300 school supplies were donated, including binders, folders, notebooks, paper and writing utensils.

"Now the fun begins." Ursala Hullaby, with the Webster Parish School Board, said in regard to shopping for supplies. "Our goal is to fill each bag with all the school supplies that our students need."
