Why Choose Fibrebond

Over 30 Years of Experience

In 1982, businessman Claud Walker founded Fibrebond recognizing the potential of the emerging wireless telecommunications industry’s need for strong, durable, aesthetic shelters to protect equipment. Since then, Fibrebond has grown into a sophisticated, cutting-edge manufacturer of concrete, steel and hybrid structures for the telecommunications, power and institutional markets.

By 1984, the company’s growth required it to expand from a small site in Bossier City, La., to the current 180-acre site in Minden, La. At that point, Fibrebond focused on the development of panelized buildings to protect the emerging cellular telephone industry’s sensitive equipment.

To provide telecommunications customers a more complete solution, Fibrebond began offering equipment installation services in 1991. In 1994, the company built an Installation Center to receive, warehouse and install customer equipment into Fibrebond shelters.

FibrebondIn September 1998, fire completely destroyed the Minden manufacturing plant. Fibrebond shifted production outdoors and to other facilities without missing a single employee paycheck or customer delivery. In 11 months, a new plant opened with advanced European concrete processing equipment, ushering Fibrebond into a new era of diversification when we began producing innovative precast concrete buildings for K-12 schools and correctional facilities.

Today, Fibrebond equipment shelters can be found in all 50 states and several foreign countries. We take great pride in playing a significant role in the build-out of the nation’s wireless telecommunications system, as well as solutions developed for other industries we serve.

In 2014, Fibrebond completed the purchase of an 187,000-square-foot production facility, creating more than 500,000 square feet of production space in Minden. The new production space allowed Fibrebond to enter a new period of product diversification that includes metal structures.

In 2015, Fibrebond acquired International Supply Company in Edelstein, Ill.
